Five ingredient funfetti cookies biscuit recipe

These biscuits are really easy and pretty fun.
If you want them very colourful you need to add even more hundreds and thousands to the dough. They would be great for kids to make and this recipe is pretty plain for fussy eaters.
These cookies are a little chewy too, rather than snappy like biscuits.

INGREDIENTS
• 200g self-raising flour
• 100g caster sugar
• 100g unsalted butter, softened
• 1 small/medium egg, beaten
• 50g of multicoloured sprinkles
Optional• Icing sugar and extra sprinkles to decorate

RECIPE
1. Turn the oven to 200C/390F. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
2. Put the sugar, butter and flour in a mixing bowl and rub the butter into the dry ingredients using your fingertips until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
3. Add the egg and stir in.
4. Add the sprinkles to the mix.
5. Bring it all together to form a dough which you can cut cookies from.
6. Dust a surface with flour and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to the thickness of about a pound coin. It will puff up a bit when it bakes because if the self raising flour.
7. Cut out your shapes and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes until golden. If you bake them for longer they become more crunchy like sugar biscuits. Er, or they burn.
8. Leave to cool before decorating with icing sugar and more sprinkles.
